Workshop on Circularities in Material, Building, and Business Practices (19th-20th Centuries)
On March 31, an international workshop is organised at VUB Architectural Engineering to facilitate the exchange of research on the circulation of construction waste, the material pathways and value assessment of salvaged construction materials, and the urban spaces that intersect with these business practices.
The workshop, which brings together historians, business historians, engineer-architects, antropologists, and urban researchers from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and University of Helsinki is organised within the framework of the interdiciplinary research project 'Re-Building Brussels (1695-2025): the construction sector as an engine for social inclusion and circularity' funded by Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
The full program can be viewed here.
Do you want to join? Contact Matthijs Degraeve or Ine Wouters before March 20.
